Couples Retreat
Vince Vaughn is one of my favorite actors. But I don't really like him when he's the good guy. He was definitely the good guy in this movie, and it suffered because of it. C'mon Vince, go back to your roots. You don't believe in marriage, you wanna go to Vegas, you wanna find some beautiful babies who don't know your name and don't know your address, you're the big winner tonight, Vince. But this movie wasn't the big winner. No, it wasn't.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Undisputed heavyweight champion of my world. No question about it. I watched it again Sunday night after the Vikings lost. I figure out new things every time I watch it. So either I'm extremely slow (I've seen the movie 30 times) or it's just plain brilliant.

The Blind Side
There's no way Micheal Oher is that polite. That demure. That humble. That shy. That quiet. I'm sure he has those characteristics, but I feel like the filmmakers probably took it to the extreme. There were a few unrealistic parts. Like when the rich, white mom scares the thug in front of his homies. C'mon. But I shed a few tears (what else is new). A great success story. It also made me want to be a teacher (wait...).

The Princess and the Frog
Was this movie really made this year? It looks like the animation from my youth. I think that's what I liked about it. I liked the moral of the story, too. Yeah, achieving your dreams is important. And it takes work on your part, not just hope. But don't lose sight of the important things in life (family, love). Of course, the girl gets it all, though. She gets the guy and the restaurant. If only we could all be so lucky.
